Mrs Margaret Ann Ramsey

Margaret Ann Maher, age 77, of Richmond, California, died at 10:00 am November 28, 2018 in San Rafael Hospital (Professional Post-Acute Care Center).

She was born on October 24, 1941 to parents Sterling Robert Maher and Gladys May Bund in Brandon Manitoba, Canada.

Margaret, married 54 yrs. To Don Albert Ramsey of Oklahoma City on October 9, 1965 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and they had two sons; Philip Wesley Ramsey and Michael Joseph Ramsey.

Margaret attended Contra Costa College, majoring in accounting. She worked for Richmond Unified School District and as Special Project Supervisor. She was chosen to receive the honor of West Contra Costa Unified School District’s Classified Administrator of the Year 1998 – 1999.

She really loved spending time with family. Other activities such as hiking the beach at Point Reyes seashore; boating and camping at Shasta Lake, hiking the lakes at her vacation home in the Sierra Mountains. Margaret loved going on cruises, and travels to Canada to visit family and realities. She also loved listening to music and attending live jazz music concerts.

She is survived by her husband; Don A. Ramsey, her son and his wife Philip W. Ramsey, Catherine Young/Ramsey, and Michael J. Ramsey and his wife Sally Ramsey. Grandchildren; Alyssa Ramsey, Tyson Ramsey, and Juliette Ramsey. Other family survivors are; Shirley (Maher) Szekeres, Louise (Maher) and Al Fedoriak, Douglass and Heather Maher, and Flora Maher of Canada.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Sterling Maher, Mother Gladys Maher, and one brother Bill Maher.

Visitation ( Viewing Services will be Saturday, December 8 from Noon to 1:30pm at Wilson & Krazter – Chapel of the Mission Bells located at 13644 San Pablo Ave, San Pablo, CA 94806.

Internment will follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Park located at 4100 Hilltop Drive, Richmond CA 94806 ( Located at Hilltop and Hwy 80)
