My heart is so heavy!! I don't know what happened to my friend Jason but it is so hard to hear he is gone. I grew up with Jason from nursery School to private school all the way to graduation day at PVHS! Jason & I were especially close because with our names being Gray/Green, we ALWAYD sat next to each other and stood in line next to each other. Graduation day at the Richmond Auditorium we held hands the entire time and he cracked joked in my ears telling me I was gonna trip & fall on stage! We teased each other because we were both pigeon toed lol. Man, he will be so missed. I will continue to pray for and send my love to his family.
So sorry I received the news late and missed his service.
With all my love,
Stephanie Gray

Jason was a great friend and talented athlete, he was always smiling and fun to be around. I can't believe he's gone, too soon. I believe the outpouring of love from those that he came in contact with is a tribute to his character. I haven't seen him since High School but wished I had. I had the privilege of playing baseball and football with him in Little League and High School. He will be missed, God called him home. May God bless and keep his family and loved ones. I hope to see him again one day.

Jason was family to me, he was my brother.......he was the person that would not only give a complete stranger the shirt off his back, but then he would go beyond that and give them a ride home.....I was literally in the car with him numerous times when he would pull over in the middle of the freeway or road and help someone out even pushing the car through oncoming traffic.....there is countless times when I never asked Jason for help, and i did not need too, he just did it and did where as to not make me feel guilty that he did. Jason also had a 5th gear that most of us didnt have....he did everything 200% because everybody was capable of 100%, so he always had to top it....there would be times when we were play fighting/wrestling and most of the times he bested me, especially in the teenage years, but every once in a while i got him, and no sooner then he tapped out, he was back at it, because he couldnt accept the outcome....I could go on and on about Jason from club stories of him hanging upside down in go-go cages dancing, lol to him getting in apple throwing fight with me in his parents house..to watching him play ball in college and there literally would be 3-4 MLB scouts there to watch just him play......Jason was not perfect by all means, but 99.9% of the time his intentions were good.......LOVE U BROTHER AND SAVE ME A TICKET WILL CALL..............

It is with our deepest condolences that I write this, my prayers and comfort for the family and friends of JG! He will be truly missed, he was a bright light in a dark time. I had the pleasure of going to Pinole Valley High School with him and playing ball with Him for four wonderful years. My family and I are not going to be able to make services, we are here if you need anything.
God Bless,
The Newell's.
