Tribute

Frederick T. Visperas, resident of Hercules, CA.
Frederick T. Visperas, aka Eric, bka Big “E” passed away at Kaiser
Richmond Hospital on March 16, 2020, due to congestive heart failure at
the young age of 46. Eric was born on May 14, 1973, just before
Mother’s Day, in San Francisco, CA. “He spent his life serving (taking
care of his mother and quadriplegic father), it’s time for his reward to be
in peace with our heavenly father.” Eric is now “Home Sweet Home” with
the Lord and his own father, Roland, who had recently gone before him.
Growing up in Hercules, Eric attended Ohlone Elementary School and
Pinole Valley High School. He also attended Sierra Academy of
Aeronautics and Sequoia Institute of Automotive Technology. Despite
his educational background, his love for fishing was immeasurable. He
would go on fishing boat trips with his best friend and be out on in the
wee hours of the night trying to catch some fish…any fish. He also
enjoyed cruising around town with his dogs, visiting friends and family,
listening to music, drawing art, and cooking. His famous bibingka recipe
is one that will always be remembered.
Eric will also always be remembered by having such a big heart.
Whenever you needed him, he was there. He never judged anyone or
held any grudges. All he did was love you and everyone, more than
himself. He was selfless, caring, and a true friend. Eric’s sudden
passing has left a void in all our hearts that only God can fill.
Eric is survived by his mom Andrea, brother Scott, sisters Leilani and
Cecilia, brothers-in-law Jeremy Dela Cruz and Eric Cedo, his nephews
Danilo, Samuel, Brandon and Joshua. He leaves behind many aunts and
uncles (especially Uncle Conrad who lives next door and has always
been there for the family) and countless cousins on the Tabion and
Visperas/Montuya side, his SG crew, best friends Michaelwyn Yuzon and
Mino Fernandez, Jr. and their families. And last but not least, Eric leaves
behind his faithful companion, Lucky, his jack russell terrier.
A celebration of life memorial will take place in the future and will be
announced once finalized.
