Ms Conchita Espina Cuerdo

Tribute

Conchita Espina Cuerdo was born on February 15, 1940 in Leyte, Phillipines.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from Far Eastern University in Manila in 1962.  In 1969, Conchita immigrated to the United States where she worked as an accountant for several well-known companies.  In 1972, Conchita married, Reynaldo Cuerdo, an electrical engineer whom she had met in San Francisco.  Together, they had two children, Ritchie and Liza.  Conchita later worked in retail for several years while helping raise her twin grandchildren, Caleb and Chloe.  She enjoyed tending to her beautiful orchids and bountiful garden.

Conchita, 82, passed away peacefully in her El Sobrante home of 42 years on January 27, 2023.  Conchita is survived by her children, Ritchie Cuerdo of El Sobrante, CA, Liza (Forrest) Cuerdo Shryock of Lafayette, CA, grandchildren, Caleb Cuerdo Milanes and Chloe Cuerdo Milanes, as well as several, beloved brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, and dear friends, including Ruby Leocario and Macrina Goldstein.  Conchita was preceded in death by her parents, Perpetua and Pablo Espina, nine siblings, Sylvia, Maria, Jovita, Juan, Ricardo, Lorita, Carmelita, Filicicimo and Eugene Espina, and husband Reynaldo Cuerdo.
