Henry Edward Bridges

Henry Edward Bridges, known to many as Hank, passed away on February 12, 2024, in Pinole, California, at the age of 69. Hank was born on April 28, 1954, in Martinez, California. He was a loving husband to Donna Bridges, a devoted father to Ashly Bridges and Amy Bridges, a caring father-in-law to Andrew Harris, a loving uncle who proudly took the role of father figure to Austin Duncan and an amazing Papa to Sheala Cole.

Hank was a solid, dependable, and honest man who took pride in his family. He enjoyed traveling, attending Raiders games where he said he bleed silver and black, listening to music and spending quality time with his friends and family.  He was also an advocate for his health.

In his career, Hank worked as a machinist and a welder at the Machine Shop and the refineries for over 20 years. Outside of work, he found joy in attending sporting events, camping, running the El Cerrito Vets Hall, working on side jobs, going out to eat and gardening.

Hank is survived by his wife, Donna Bridges, daughters Ashly Bridges and Amy Bridges, son-in-law Andrew Harris, granddaughter Sheala Cole, brother Jim Bridges, sister Carol Bridges, nephew Austin Duncan, godson Aaron Verner, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Bridges, mother Katherine Bridges, brothers Jack Bridges and Richard Bridges, and sister Kathy Verner.

Hank was a remarkable individual whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The impact he made on those around him speaks volumes about the kind of person he was, and his legacy will surely endure in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him.  

Services to honor and remember Hank will be held at Wilson & Kratzer, 13644 San Pablo Ave., San Pablo, CA, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12pm. A reception will follow at Ashly and Andy's house at 2625 Woodside Ct., Pinole, CA. The family has requested that those who will be attending Hank's memorial service wear silver and black to represent his love for the Raider's.
